Martha ((Crouse) Pittman

Martha Pittman, 82, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2011. She was born July 11, 1929 in Fulton County, a daughter of the late Donald Crouse and Alta (Mellott) Crouse. On September 14, 1948, she married Leo V. Pittman, who passed away on July 2, 2007. She is survived by their children, Daniel L. Pittman, of Everett Sherry D. Stanley, and husband Layle Stanley, of Lake City, Florida Leon V. Pittman, and special friend Sarah Aikey, of Everett Lynn A. Pittman of Everett, and special friend Joann Trimpy, of Bedford Mia M. Craig, and husband Stuart L. Craig, of Clearville 4 grandchildren, Brittany Marinko and special friend Gerald Schley, Avery Pittman and wife Tonia, Zachary Craig and Matthew Craig 4 great grandchildren, Gabriella Marinko, Hailey Pittman, Logan Marinko-Schley and Faith Marinko-Schley 3 sisters, Frieda Mannetti and husband Vic of Warfordsburg, Alma Plessinger and husband Russ of Warfordsburg, Orpha Ritchey and husband Arnold, of Breezewood, 2 brothers, Troy Crouse and wife Helen, of Big Cove Tannery and Morris Crouse, and wife Charlotte, of Hustontown, and long time friend Steven Marinko of Jacksonville, Florida, who is the father of Martha's granddaughter Brittany. She was preceded in passing away by an infant grandson Timothy Craig, 2 sisters, Audrey Peck and Natalie Guessford and a brother, Calvin Crouse. Martha was employed as a seamstress at Lion Manufacturing in Everett for over 20 years until retiring. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading and truly loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for being a best friend and mother to her children who was always willing to lend a listening ear to help them with their questions in life. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Cherry Lane Cemetery.
