Mary Catheryn Smith

Mary C. Smith 89, of Bedford, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Born on December 31, 1935, in Robinsonville, PA, a daughter of the late Cauley and Marie (Wigfield) Smith, Mary spent her life cultivating beauty and warmth-both in her garden and in the hearts of those around her. She found joy in the simple pleasures: tending to her flowers, preserving the bounty of her vegetable garden, and sharing laughter and love with her family.

Mary is survived by her four devoted siblings, who will remember her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the way she made every gathering feel like home. They are Theodore, Wayne, Virginia, and Ivan Smith, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. Her legacy lives on in the blossoms she nurtured, the jars she filled, and the memories she created.

A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
