Mary V. Snyder, 88, of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford, a lifelong resident of Mattie and Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 21st, 2013. She was born Saturday, August 29th, 1925 at her family home in East Providence Township, Bedford County, a daughter of the late George M. Williams and Lula V. (Winck) Williams. On December 15th, 1944 in Cumberland, Maryland, with a service officiated by the Rev. George Baughman at the Church parsonage, she married Roy W. Snyder who passed away on June 13th, 1988. She is survived by their son, Lesley D. Snyder and wife, Clara of Breezewood; Four daughters, Carol Monismith and husband George Monismith of Middletown, Judith Walch and husband Frank Walch of Gainesville, Florida Debra Thomas and husband Robert "Buck" Thomas of Johnston, SC Theresa Besse and husband Tim Besse of Tallahassee, Florida, A son in law Robert Yoder of Fort Myers, Florida 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren Two sisters, Edna Brallier of Everett, and Cora Mae Hall of Clearville. A dear friend who's a "special lady" Louise Weist of Breezewood, and many loving, nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by a daughter Nancy L. Yoder in April of 2010, a daughter in law Mary Alice (Williams) Snyder, three sisters, Estella Andrews, Sarah L. Feight and Flora Mellott, and two brothers, Robert Williams and Wilbur Williams. Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Stevens Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated homemaker who loved working in the garden, especially with her flowers, and was a music lover who was exceptionally fond of country music. She was also a talented yodeler, loving the multi-tone singing so much, that she still sang every day. A dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, Mary always had a smile to share with you, a good word to say to everyone around her and will be truly missed by all. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 24th, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Stevens Chapel United Methodist Church with Rev. Jay A. Saxe officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Sunday at the Church from 1:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Stevens Chapel Cemetery.
