Mary B. Mills Yoder, 89, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 14th, 2013. She was born Wednesday, February 20th, 1924 at her family home in East Providence Township, a daughter of the late Watson W. Hanks and Anna (Pascoe) Hanks. On November 7th, 1945 in Cumberland, Maryland she married Wilbert R. "Jim" Mills who passed away on September 19th, 1988. On December 11th, 1989 she married Irvin E. Yoder who passed away on February 12th, 2005. She is survived by eight children, Glenn Shipley of Livingston, Montana Beverly Heckman, of Breezewood Dorothy Jackson and husband Herb Jackson, of Breezewood Connie Fluke and husband Sam Fluke, of Everett Dewayne Mills and wife Janice, of Clearville Vaughn Mills and wife Beverly (Price) Mills, of Everett Thomas Mills and wife Deborah (Kalfas) Mills, of Everett Timothy Mills and wife Joanna (Foor) Mills, of Six Mile Run Eight stepchildren, Earl Yoder, Barbara Davison, Mary McDonnell, Grace Brunda, Jim Yoder, John Yoder, Rob Yoder, and Carol Reynolds 21 grandchildren 31 great-grandchildren her first great great-granddaughter, MeKenzie Rose, who was born in November, Four sisters, Catherine Lindenmuth, of Mount Union Wanita Bearlepp, of Warren New Jersey Neada Skillman, of Livingston, Montana Martha Hooper, of San Antonio, Texas A brother Jim Hanks of Livingston, Montana And many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to her parents and husbands Jim and Irvin, she was preceded in passing away by an infant daughter Mildred, a grandson Matthew Fluke, infant twin brothers Watson and Jesse, two sisters Matilda Dick and Sara Hanks, and three brothers, John Hanks, Abe Hanks, and Roy Hanks. Mrs. Yoder was a member of the Clear Creek Brethren In Christ Church and attended the Everett United Methodist Church in recent years. Earlier in her life time, Mary was a midwife and caregiver, and after her marriage to Jim, she helped in the daily operation of their dairy farm. She then worked as a seamstress at Lion Manufacturing in Everett, was a housekeeper and supervisor of housekeeping at the Howard Johnson Motor Lodge in Breezewood, and then worked as a preparation cook at the Gateway Travel Plaza until retiring. At home Mary enjoyed embroidery and gardening, and to keep her mind sharp, would work on crossword puzzles and was devoted to reading the Bible everyday. Spending time with family and friends was important to her, and knowing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren well was a special joy for her, always remembering to send a card for their birthdays and holidays. She will be remembered for the wisdom that she shared with her family and friends, being grateful for what you have and to count your blessings everyday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Rev. John E. Geyer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the our of service, and share memories online at dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Rock Hill Cemetery.
