Maxine M. (O'Neal) Klahre

Maxine M. Klahre, 93, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 with her family at her side. She was born Saturday, January 21st, 1922 at her family home in Chaneysville, a daughter of the late Edgar R. O'Neal and Jennie B. (Perrin) O'Neal. On December 13th, 1941 in Flintstone, she married Ross E. Klahre who passed away on May 28th, 1996. She is survived by their children, Nancy L. McClelland of Clymer Evelyn N. Stone and husband Charles T. Stone of Everett Shirley A. Stuby and husband Lyle J. Stuby of Schellsburg Dale R. Klahre and wife Robin (Mostad) Klahre of Woodstock, Virginia Seven grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Stone and wife Julie, Tracy L. DeCoomen and wife Shana, James A. Stone and wife Melinda, Desiree Barr and husband Robert, James L. Stuby and wife Danielle, Norman B. Stuby and wife Ursula, Mark M. Klahre and wife Filla, Three step grandchildren, Greg McClelland and wife Julia, Jeremiah Scheler and wife Brooke, Nichole Gordon and husband Jay, Ten great and step great-grandchildren, Two sisters, Evelyn Karns of Everett and Betty Morse, of Everett, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to her parents and husband Ross, she was preceded in passing away by and infant sister Ethelyn, a step granddaughter Joni Hopkins, a son in law Donald C. McClelland, and two brothers Frederick R. O'Neal and George V. O'Neal. Mrs. Klahre was a member of the Pleasant Union Church and was active in many Church activities including the Women's Fellowship and serving as a music leader, playing piano and singing for Sunday services. At home she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who would gladly help a neighbor or a friend, and will be greatly missed for her unique sense of humor and experienced point of view that she shared throughout her later years. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 9th, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Pastor Eleanor Fix officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Monday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park. Memorial contributions my be made in memory of Maxine the Pleasant Union Church, 8400 Clear Ridge Road, Clearville, PA 15535.
