Melissa A. "Missy" (Wareham) Hummel

Melissa A. Hummel, 57, of Everett, was called home to be with our Lord on Thursday, December 27th, 2012. She was born January 5th, 1955 at Memorial Hospital of Bedford County, a daughter of Donald E Wareham and Ann (Browell) Wareham of Snake Spring Valley. In November of 2003, she married Robert L. Hummel who survives along with her parents and 2 daughters, Kara Wareham, of Bedford and Amanda Wareham, of Oakdale, Pittsburgh; a brother, Joseph E. Wareham, of St. Petersburg, FL, and 2 granddaughters Natalie Wareham and Taylor Wareham. She was preceded in passing away by an infant daughter. Mrs. Hummel was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Everett, and was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1972, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown . Missy began her work in social services in the York area, later working in Roaring Springs, and then worked as an assistant for the qualified adults with the Huntingdon-Bedford-Fulton County Area Agency on Aging. At home she enjoyed flower gardening, going fishing with her husband Bob, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed for the care that she shared with so many. Private funeral services will be held by her family with burial at Everett Cemetery.
