Melvin F. Bollman Jr., 69, of Everett, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021.
He was born Thursday, May 15, 1952, in Everett, a son of the late Melvin F. Bollman, Sr. and Helena G. (Foor) Bollman.
He is survived by a daughter, Heidi Hurst, and a son, Brandon Bollman; two sisters, Shirley (Bollman) Fani and Gloria (Bollman) Gates; a special friend, Joy Sanchez; a sister-in-law, Karen (Gerber) Bollman; six grandchildren, Zoe Thomas, Ivey Thomas, Eve Thomas, Ian Bollman, Rayann Borman, and Linden Hurst, and two great-grandchildren, Tripp Lowery and Avery Harper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing by a sister, Joyce McCoy, a brother, Dave Bollman, and a daughter, Tammy Thomas.
Melvin was a 1971 Bedford High School graduate. After graduation, he joined the United States Army, where he was a truck driver and served from 1971 to 1977.
After his time served in the military, Melvin continued to drive truck for over 40 years where he fulfilled his dream to travel the country and retiring as an owner/operator.
In his spare time and after retirement, Melvin enjoyed fishing, watching and going to the races, and reading about and watching old westerns.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 2:00 pm, in the chapel at Donelson Funeral Home, with Pastor Clifford Swankler officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from noon until 2:00 pm, in the chapel at Donelson Funeral Home. Friends and family may share memories online at www.donelsonfuneralhome.com.
Burial will be held at Ritchey Cemetery, Everett, PA.
