Neal Robert Hammond

Neal Robert Hammond, 15, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 20th, 2012 with his family at his side. He was born May 17th, 1997 at UPMC Bedford Memorial Hospital a son of Scott Alan Hammond and Georgina Renee (Messinger) Hammond of Everett. In addition to his parents, he is survived by 2 sisters, Paige Hammond her daughters Braylin and Brynn, of Everett and Meghan Hammond, of Everett His maternal grandmother Mary (Rotz) Messinger, of Harrisonville Paternal grandparents Frank and Rose (Doyle) Hammond, of Everett Paternal great grandmother Roberta Graham of Everett His aunt Melinda (Hammond) Horne and husband Earl Horne, Jr., of Bedford and Uncle George Messinger, Jr., and wife Michelle of Harrisonville and many more loving family members and friends. He was preceded in passing away by his grandfather George Messinger, Sr. Neal was a member of the First Christian Church of Everett and a member of the Church's youth group. He was a student at Everett Area High School, Class of 2015, studying under the University Prep program and was a member of the Junior High football team, playing wide receiver and defensive back. He was also a letterman for the 2011-2012 varsity wrestling team, and was an avid San Diego Chargers and Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Neal was a kind young man who liked everyone he met. He truly enjoyed being an uncle, spending time with his 2 nieces, and always enjoyed spending time with his friends working out, lifting weights, or just hanging out together, maybe just playing X-Box. He loved the outdoors, was a novice fisherman and will be greatly missed for his caring and happy go lucky ways. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25th, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the First Christian Church of Everett with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the hour of service, share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com, and memorial contributions may be made to the Neal R. Hammond Fund at Susquehanna Bank.
