Norma Jean (Miller) Klahre

Norma Jean Klahre, 77, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 23rd, 2012. She was born Thursday, March 28th, 1935, a daughter of the late Irvin Orville Miller and Ida May (Clingerman) Miller. She was first married to Frederick Vincent Foor who passed away on October 19th, 1955. On July 9th, 1959 in Winchester, Virginia, she married Ray C. Klahre who survives along with their children, Vicki L. Stiffler and husband Wes Stiffler, of Clearville Ricky Vincent Foor, of Everett Pamela L. Watkins, of Everett Penny S. Kipp and husband Bernie Kipp, of McConnellsburg Lisa J. Miller and husband Brian Miller, of Clearville 12 grandchildren 15 great grandchildren a sister Betty Clark, of Everett, and many loving nieces, nephews and their families. She was preceded in passing away by 4 sisters, Dorothy Mae, Belle, Lena and Velma and 7 brothers, Roy, Allen, Harold, Ivan, Kenneth, Leroy and Irvin, Jr. Mrs. Klahre was a member of the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church for over 50 years where she enjoyed singing with a Church quartet. In addition to being a homemaker, in her earlier years Jean worked as a house cleaner for several families in the Everett area, and during 53 years of marriage, she and her husband owned a beef cattle farm. She loved listening to gospel music and attending gospel music concerts, and was thoughtful of others, always sending greeting cards to family and friends. She truly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, attending their sporting events and sharing time with them all, and will be greatly missed for her patient and considerate ways. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 27th, 2012 at 11:00 am at the Clear Creek Brethren In Christ Church with Pastor John E. Geyer officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday at the Clear Creek Church from 10:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Yellow Creek St. Paul's Cemetery.
