Pauline Johnson Obituary

Pauline K. (Lynch) Johnson, 95, of Crystal Spring and Pennknoll Village, was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, November 11th, 2012. She was born Tuesday, July 3rd, 1917 in Altoona, a daughter of the late Lillian (Bottenfield) Lynch and the Honorable Marshall Lynch. She was first married to Francis Ford who preceded her in passing away and then was married to Bruce N. Johnson who passed away in February of 1976. She is survived by six daughters, Polly Moffat & husband Bill Moffat, of Stuart, Florida Marlene Maroulis of Gaithersburg, Maryland Brenda "Barbara" Foor, and husband Joe "J.D." Foor, of Bedford Theresa Beugless and husband Ed Beugless, of West Chester Mary Burton, of Forked River, New Jersey Agnes Nagy, of Richmond, Virginia a sister, Betty Wigfield, of Everett 13 grandchildren, BJ and wife Jane Moffat Bill and Pam Maroulis Tim and Brenda Foor Jennifer and Tim Mearkle Caroline and John Jeppi Suzanne and John Piombino Becky and Schuyler Wickes Dawn and Bob White Darrin and Vi Burton Joey and Tammy Nagy Sandy Nagy John Nagy Allyson Ford 19 great grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren She was preceded in passing away by a son Thomas F. Foor, three brothers, Frank Lynch and his wife Dorothy "Dot" (Huber) Lynch Fred Lynch and his wife Janet (Hall) Lynch Bob Lynch, and his wife Bonnie (Drenning) Lynch a daughter in law, Mary (Jacobs) Ford a granddaughter Susan Moffat a son in law, Joe Nagy and a brother in law Kenneth Wigfield. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the McKendree Church in Crystal Spring and attended the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Breezewood. She attended grade school at the Buffalo School in Crystal Spring and was a graduate of Everett high School Class of 1935. For over 35 years, Pauline owned and operated the Crystal Spring Grocery Store in Crystal Spring and was Post Master for Crystal Spring, operating the post office at her store for 23 years. She also served as a volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) at UPMC Bedford Mmemorial Hospital and Old Bedford Village. After encountering a stroke, Pauline was pleased to be a resident of Colonial Courtyard at Bedford for 5 years and then to be a resident of Pennknoll Village for a year and a half until her passing. A wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to her community and Church families, she will be greatly missed for her cheerful and caring ways. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. William Kuhn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at McKendree Cemetery.
