Percy E. Clark, 92, of Bedford, and for many years, of Breezewood, was called home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 25th, 2012. He was born Saturday, September 13, 1920 and his family home in West Providence Township, a son of the late Emory Clark and Stella (Campbell) Clark. On May 28th, 1940 by the Rev. Coy Foor, me married M. Louise (Ritchey) Clark who passed away on March 8th, 1990. He is survived by their children, Arlene L. Miler, of Everett Shirley A. Morreale and husband Charlie, of Sewell, NJ Duane A. Clark and wife Pan, of Chambersburg Ronald E. Clark and wife Linda, of Deltona Beach, FL Wanda S. Schooley, and husband Allen, of Greencastle Teresa M. Foor, and husband Mace, of Everett Bonnie L. Hautz and husband Philip, of Everett Annette L. Simms and husband Charlie, of Chesapeake, VA and Julie A. Fetters, of Bedford 37 grandchildren 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren He was preceded in passing away by a son Gene E. Clark, a son in law Richard L. Miller, a granddaughter Lisa Nicole Clark, 4 sisters, Maude Calhoun, Marie Clark, Myrtle Spade, Laverne Beach, and 4 brothers, Marshall E. Clark, Floyd E. "Bud" Clark, Wilbert Clark and Chalmer Clark. Mr. Clark was a lifelong member of the Mt. Chapel Brethren in Christ Church, and in his early years worked with his family at their West Providence Township farm, planting, cultivating and harvesting crops, tending to live stock and operating the horse team and tractor. He then served in the United States Army during World War II as a Medium Tank Crewman, maneuvering tanks for combat with Company B, 12th Infantry in Okinawa, receiving the Good Conduct medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. After returning home to work on the farm a few more years, Percy began his work at the Pin Mill in Bedford manufacturing wooden, creosote pins that hold glass insulators in place for electric and telephone lines, and then worked as a desk clerk at the Best Western Inn in Breezewood until retiring. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan who also enjoyed attending races at the former South Penn Speedway in Everett, and also liked working on his own cars at home, keeping them washed, polished and ready for the road. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed for the principles he shared with his family and his lasting ways. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29th, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. H. Lee Ritchey officiating.
