Rachael M. (Buratty) Feight

Rachael M. Feight, 89, of Breezewood, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012. She was born December 8, 1922 at her family home in New Baltimore, a daughter of the late Edward Buratty and Mary (Landsman) Buratty. On April 15, 1949 in Winchester Virginia she married Robert D. "Jim" Feight who passed away on December 8, 2007. She is survived by her brother Jay E. Buratty, and wife Jo-Ann (Ohler) Buratty, of Berlin, 4 sisters in law, Theresa M. Buratty, of Breezewood Sylvia Winck, and husband Dwight, of Breezewood Anna May Leidy, and husband Chuck, of Breezewood Bonnie Feight, of Bedford 2 brothers in law, Reed Feight and wife Leta, of Water Fall Arnold Jay Feight, of Everett, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing away by an infant sister Francis, an infant brother Donald, 3 sisters, Gladys Buratty, Grace Johnson and husband Clark, and Elizabeth Coughenour and husband James, 3 brothers, Robert Buratty, Clifford L. Buratty, and Roger Buratty, a sister in law: Betty Jane (Bollman) Feight, and 3 brothers in law, Donald Feight, Dale Feight and wife Ramona, and Leonard "Pete" Feight and wife Betty. Mrs. Feight was a faithful Christian who enjoyed attending Church through services held on television and sharing her devotion by loving, sharing and caring for others. After her high school years, Rachael began working as a waitress at a restaurant in Reels Corner owned by Merle and Marion Snyder, and was invited by Merle to waitress at the new Gateway Inn in Breezewood. She later worked as a waitress at the Stonewall Jackson, Bill's Place and then at the Holiday Inn in Breezewood until retiring. Together with her husband Jim, she enjoyed spending time together attending auctions and sales, collecting antiques and selling the same. She loved cooking and canning, was an excellent homemaker who especially enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends and will be greatly missed for her loving and caring ways. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 13, 2012 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor JR Winck and Pastor Andrew Winck officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Friday from 11:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
