Rev. Mary V. Miller, 75, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 17, 2011. She was born March 13, 1936 in Saxton, a daughter of the late John Fockler and Hilda (Foor) Fockler Singer. On October 10, 1954, she married Samuel E. Sparks, Jr., who passed away on November 19, 1977, and on June 18, 1979 married David L. Miller, who passed away on July 18, 1983. She is survived by her son, Randy E. Sparks, and wife Crystal A. (O'Donnell) Sparks, of New Enterprise a sister, L. Marlene Ickes, of Roaring Spring a brother William L. Fockler & and wife Catherine, of Everett 4 granddaughters 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rev. Miller was a member and Pastor of the Cypher Christian Church for over 25 years. Throughout her lifetime, Mary worked as a nurses aid at the former Bedford County Home, The Village at Morrison's Cove, and for several home nursing agencies until retiring, also caring for elderly patients at her own home. She enjoyed her work as a licensed auctioneer for the State of Pennsylvania for over 30 years, crocheting gifts for her family and friends, and will be greatly missed for her loving and caring ways. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 21, 2011 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. H. Lee Ritchey officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Sunday from 1:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com.
