Obituary
Robert (Sherman) Truax, Jr., 58, of Berlin, passed away in his sleep at Meadow View Nursing Center on January 7, 2022.
Sherman was born on June 25, 1963, in Norfolk, VA, the son of Glenda J. Truax of Everett.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Elmer and Glenda Carpenter, paternal grandparents Coy, Julia, and the late Grace Truax, and his Uncle James Truax.
He is survived by his mother and siblings; Tina Ewing (Butch), Christine Ward (Tim), Kimberly Ewing (Chris), Julie Talbert, James Truax (Becky), and Spring Whisel (Sam), and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Sherman had a zest for life that most special needs exhibit. He loved animals and the outdoors. Some of his favorite activities were being on the farm, walking, watching the nature channel, eating, and going for car rides.
You will be missed, J.
He has had some very special assistants, nurses, and caregivers over the years, and for this the family is eternally grateful. Special thanks going to the staff and nurses at Meadow View Nursing Center and the Interim Healthcare Hospice staff.
There will be no public services. A private burial will be held by the family.
Memorial contributions may be sent to Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin, PA, or the Interim Healthcare Hospice and Palliative Care in Sherman’s name.
