Russell Gene Guthrie

R. Gene Guthrie, 72, of Everett was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 14, 2011. He was born May 1, 1939 in Uniontown, and raised by Gorman and Olive Barkman of Clearville. In 1966, Gene moved to the Alva Barkman family farm in Everett where he lived and worked with the Barkman family until he passed away. He attended the Black Valley Federated Church and was a kind and helpful friend who will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. Frank Wheeland officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Everett Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Gene to the funeral home.
