Rustina Lee Nelson

Rustina Lee Nelson, 45, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 16th, 2014, with her family at her side. She was born Wednesday, November 20th, 1968 in Fort Meade, Maryland, a daughter of Mary Ann (Johns) Brown of Everett and Russell E. Johnson of Cape Coral, Florida. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her partner of over 13 years Bill Kilgore, of Breezewood A daughter Katelyn Benton and husband Andrew, of Everett A stepdaughter Courtney Lee Kilgore, of Breezewood Two sons, Gregory Harrell and Keith Harrell, both of Jessup, Maryland Three grandchildren, Aubree, James and Nate, A brother-in-law Robert Copeland and two nephews, Christopher Copeland and Thomas Copeland, all of Severn, Maryland And many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and their families. In addition to her grandparents, she was preceded in passing away by a sister Tamara Copeland and her step-father Ronald H. Brown. After high school, Rustina was a homemaker and mother who also worked at several hotels and restaurants, most recently working as a housekeeper at the Holliday Inn Express in Breezewood. A quiet woman who enjoyed being at home spending time with her family, Rustina also enjoyed caring for her three pet Yorkshire Terriers and her Chihuahua, and will be greatly missed for her sense of humor and keeping everyone and everything in line and in order. She truly cared for the ones she loved. A Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, February 19th, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Memorial contribution may be made in memory of Rustina to the American Cancer Society.
