Scott O. Dalla Valle, 56, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 15th, 2020. He owned and operated Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Inc. in Everett.
He was born Monday, May 18th, 1964 in Parma, Ohio, a son of August R. Dalla Valle and Beverly J. (Saylor) Dalla Valle of Everett. Along with his parents, Scott is survived by two sisters, K. Lynne (Dalla Valle) Hainsey of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Brenda J. (Dalla Valle) Truax-Knopp and husband John Knopp of Dumfries, Virginia; a niece, Sophie I. "Sophie Bell" Truax of Dumfries, Virginia, and two nephews, Jacob A. "Jake" Hainsey of Fredericksburg, Virginia and Altoona, and Nicholas Owen Truax of Dumfries, Virginia. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and their families, his close personal friend and companion James E. Paladino of Tampa, Florida, his faithful employee, friend and assistant Randy C. Rebert of Everett, and his former spouse and loving friend, Jolene E. Mallow of Everett.
In addition to Scott, he is preceded in passing away by a his grandparents, August J. Dalla Valle, Margaret Dalla Valle, Bernice (Shaffer) Saylor and Owen Saylor.
Scott was a graduate of Everett Area High School, Class of 1982; The Pennsylvania State University, Class of 1986 and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, Class of 1987. Prior to his career in the mortuary business, he worked as a computer consultant at Entre Computer of Bedford and Westinghouse in Pittsburgh. He did his internship at H.P. Brandt Funeral Home in Pittsburgh before returning home to Everett to continue the family business, Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Inc.
Scott was full of energy and always had a construction project or two in the works, such as building and renovating his beloved cottage in Everett. He also loved to tinker with and fix old computers and restore old vacuum cleaners, sewing machines, mixers or anything electrical.
His strong and steadfast Christian faith sustained and encouraged him in times of trouble and gave him a heart of gratitude for the good times. He loved to share his blessings with others. A private service will be held by the family on Saturday, August 22nd, 2020. A public visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on the same day.
Private burial will be held at Shellsburg Cemetery at a later date.
