Shirley Jean Muir 85, of Hopewell, PA. formerly of Swanton, MD went to be with the Lord on June 21, 2026
Born on October 6,1940 in Red Rock, WV. She later moved to McCoole, MD at the age of 12. Then moved to Westernport, MD before building their home on Backbone Mountain, Swanton MD. They later moved to Hopewell PA in 2008.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur E. Myers and Tacy Marie Myers.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Husband Stanley Eugene Muir and Sisters Mary Owens (Sam) of Ohio, Edith Goff (Ross) of Rowlesburg WV, Betty Collins (Sheldon) of Jonestown PA, Goldie Harper (Ken) of Virginia , Freda Morton (Frank) of Fairmont WV, Virginia Wiles of Ohio. Brothers Frank Myers (Mildred) of Coulter PA, Richard Myers (Mary) of Jonestown PA, Half Brother Leroy Myers (Ellen) of MD, Sister in Law Beverly Ann Mertz of Westernport, MD. Her Son Stanley Ervin Muir of Terra Alta, WV, And her Grandson Christopher Scott Barcase of Keyser, WV. And many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She is Survived by her Daughter Kimberly Sue Muir and Fiancé Raymond Allen Neff of Everett, PA.
Her Grandchildren Melissa Sue (Barcase) Nesselrodt and Husband Robert Nesselrodt of New Creek WV, Kisa Marie Muir and Companion Tracey Lewis of Westernport, MD, Stanley Ervin Muir Jr. of Hopewell PA, Chelsie Lynn (Muir) Pritt and Husband Dakota Pritt of Oakland, MD. Her Great Grandchildren Alexa Sue (Nesselrodt) Junkins and Husband Joshuah Junkins of Keyser, WV, Chase Allen Nesselrodt and Fiancé Dana Bamburg of Keyser, WV, Kenneth Edward Wiles IV of Smithsburg, MD, Liam Xavier Muir of Westernport, MD, Tacey Annamarie Muir of Westernport, MD, Maci Lynn Pritt of Oakland, MD, Sofia Grace Pritt of Oakland, MD, Isabelle Ann Pritt of Oakland, MD and a Great-Great Granddaughter Emersyn Lynn Junkins of Keyser WV.
She attended Bruce High School in Westernport MD. She was the Owner/Operator of Muir's Taxidermy along with her Husband Stanley Muir on Backbone Mountain Swanton, MD for 40 Years.
In her younger years she enjoyed Hunting and Fishing with her Husband, they also took many Hunting and Fishing trips.
At her request there will be no Services.
The Family has Honored her wishes of Cremation.
