Shirley Ann Terry, 84, of Clearville and Donahoe Manor, a long time resident of Edgewater, Maryland, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2011. She was born April 2, 1927 in Annapolis, Maryland, a daughter of the late Frank and Ellen (Sears) Ridgewater. She was married to Thomas M. Terry, Sr., who passed away in April of 1973. She is survived by their 2 sons, Kenneth W. Terry of Clearville Thomas M. Terry, of Edgewater, 3 grandsons, Thomas Terry, Justin Terry and Kenneth Terry 2 step granddaughters, Jackie Carlton and Carole Carlton 3 great grandchildren and 3 sisters, Lillie Mae Eismeier, of Annapolis Francis McFadden, of Annapolis, and Doris Harris, of Mebane, North Carolina She was preceded in passing away by 2 sisters, Isabelle Ward and Dorethea Emerick, and a brother, Jerry Ridgewater, all formerly of Annapolis. Shirley retired from the Annapolis City Police Department, and her true love was her membership with the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post #304 in Annapolis where she was past President and 6th District of Maryland President. She also enjoyed fishing, traveling in her motor home, and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 710 Ridgeley Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21401. Friends may call at the Church on Saturday from 12:00 noon until hour of service, and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Memorial Contributions may be made in memory of Shirley to the American Cancer Society.
