Susan D. (Howell) Winfrey

Susan D. Winfrey, 56, of Imler, previously of Clearville, passed away at home on Thursday, November 29th, 2012. She was born December 18th, 1955 at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of Dolores (Goodwin) Hornbarger of Clearville, and the late Frank Howell. On July 10th, 1971 in Jessup, Maryland, she married William C. Winfrey who passed away on February 20th, 2012. In addition to her mother and her husband, Robert Hornbarger, she is survived by 3 daughters, Tammy D. Winfrey, of Imler Venus M. Winfrey, of Laurel, MD Jessica L. Winfrey, of Burtonsville, MD a son, William C. Winfrey, of Imler 2 granddaughters, Taime A. Willey and Abbygail Winfrey 2 grandsons, Damon Winfrey and Lucas W. Winfrey 2 sisters, Penny Howell and Debbie Soulder and 2 brothers, Michael Howell and David Howell. Susan attended high school in Laurel Maryland, and after her marriage to Bill, was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, going out to eat, and playing scrabble and solitaire. She will be greatly missed for her caring ways that kept her family close and learning to truly love one another. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 4th, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, with Rev. John Geyer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Pleasant Union Cemetery. Along with flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Susan to the funeral home to help her family with funeral expenses.
