Thelma R. Blankley, 69, of Everett, passed away at home on Sunday, April 1st, 2018. She was born Thursday, April 15th, 1948 in Pleasantville, a daughter of the late John Wissinger and Etta (Weible) Wissinger. On June 3rd, 1966 at St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pleasantville, she married George B. Blankley, who survives along with their son, Michael G. Blankley of Everett, Two brothers, John Wissinger, Jr., of Ryot; and Gary Wissinger and wife Edna of New Paris; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents she was preceded in passing away by a brother Robert Wissinger. A graduate of Chestnut Ridge High School, Class of 1966, Thelma and her husband George began operation of their family owned Monroe Township dairy farm soon after their marriage. Be it milking cattle in the morning and evening, raking hay, or running the tractor bailing hay, Thelma was happy to do whatever work needed to be done. A wonderful cook who also enjoyed vegetable gardening, canning and freezing, she also enjoyed vacationing with her husband on cruise ships, having visited the Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Hawaii, the New England States and the Panama Canal. A loving and dedicated wife, mother and friend, she will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 4th, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service, and share memories online at dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Frame Cemetery.
