Thomas P. Wright

Thomas P. Wright, 54, of Breezewood, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 22nd, 2013, with his wife at his side. He was born Tuesday, February 3rd, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, a son of Eileen (Law) Wright of Crystal Spring and the late Arthur Wright. On June 14th, 1991 in Bedford, he married Bernadette A. (Weigman) Wright, who survives along with their children, Steven P. McCadden and wife Dawn, of Camp Pendleton, California April M. Wright, of Florida Teresa L. Hanlin, and husband Travis, of Fort Knox, Kentucky 4 grandsons, Nathaniel, Ethan, Eli and Cameron, Two sisters, Carole Herd of Sapello, NM and Sherry Allen of London, KY Seven brothers, David Wright of Posen, IL; Daniel Wright, of Elk Ridge, MD; John Wright, of Shermans Dale; Michael Wright, of Glen Burnie, MD; Mark Wright, of Bedford; James Wright, of Crystal Spring Matthew Wright, of Bedford. And many loving nieces, nephews, friends and their families. In addition to his father, he was preceded in passing away by a brother Phillip E. Wright, Sr., in August of 2012. Tom attended the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church, and earlier in his lifetime, was employed as a residential and commercial fencing installer with Long Fence Company of Baltimore. He then worked as a machinist for Davis and Hemphill, Inc. in Elk Ridge, Maryland until retiring. At home, Tom loved writing music and playing box guitar, which he could happily do all day, and was a former member of the local bands Country Strings and Keys and Country Traditions. Most important to him was spending time with his family, teaching his grandsons how to play baseball, play guitar, and building play forts. A loving and dedicated husband, father and brother, who was the worlds best Pop Pop to his grandsons, will be greatly missed for his caring ways. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church with Pastor John Geyer officiating. Friends may call at the Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Along with flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tom to the Military Mothers of Bedford County.
