Wanda Watkins Obituary

Wanda R. Watkins 90, of rural Clearville, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 16, 1932, a daughter of the late John J. Kofchur and Ester L. (Conrad) Kofchur.

On January 2, 1954, she married Donald J. Watkins in Monroe, Michigan, who preceded her in death on November 11, 2018.

She is survived by a son, Jay Watkins; three grandchildren, Amber J. Watkins, Jay-de A. Watkins and Gabrial D. Watkins; a great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in passing by two sisters, Pearl M. Moody and Mary E. Kofchur and a brother, John J. Kofchur, Jr.

In 1950, Wanda graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School in Pittsburgh. After high school, she worked at the Social Security Administration’s office for many years until her retirement.

She was a member of the Greenfield Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh and was affiliated with Fairview Christian Church, Inglesmith, PA, where she played the piano and was a youth group leader. Wanda also held various office positions in the Rebekah Lodge, Everett, PA.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 21, at 11:00 am at Fairview Cemetery, Artemas, PA, with Pastor Milton Morris officiating.
