Wayne D. Gingrich, 85, of Crystal Spring, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 3rd, 2013. He was born Sunday, January 1st, 1928 in Mifflintown, a son of the late Glen B. Gingrich and Maude E. (Coldron) Gingrich. On May 30th, 1951 in Shippensburg, he married Emma G. (Bottenfield) Gingrich who survives along with their children, Tom Gingrich and wife Julie Wollam-Gingerich, of Laurel, Maryland Connie J. James and husband Ben James, of Spring Grove Chester Gingrich and wife Katherine (Lamanna) Gingrich, of Silver Spring, Maryland a sister, Helen Kepner, of Port Royal a brother Ernest Gingrich and wife Renie, of Harrisburg, a step grandson Shawn James, of Glen Burnie, Maryland and a sister-in-law Betty Gingrich, of Harrisburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by two brothers, Dale Gingrich and Calvin Gingrich. Mr. Gingrich was an active member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Juniata Joint High School in Mifflintown, Class of 1946, and of Shippensburg State College, Class of 1951. After working at Letterkenny Army Depot, Wayne began his lifelong career in the financial services industry, having worked for Household Finance in Rockville, Maryland; Federal Services Finance in Washington, DC; and Suburban Trust in Silver Spring, Maryland until retiring. He was raised in Highlands Lodge #86 F&AM in Denver Colorado on September 19th, 1962 and thereafter was a member of the Wheaton Lodge #228, Wheaton, MD, serving as Worshipful Master in 1982 and receiving his 50 year pin this year. He also served on the Board of Managers, The Grand Lodge of Maryland from 1983 to 1987, served as R.W. Treasurer from 1987 to 1998 and was an honorary member of the James Bowers Lodge #173, Hancock. He also held membership in the Bonnie Blink Daylight Lodge #1, Cockeysville, MD; the Masonic Veteran Association of Maryland; the Everett Lodge #524 F&AM, earned his 32nd degree of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, Valley of Baltimore; the Almas Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. (Shriners) of Washington, DC; the Knights of Mecca - Boumi Temple, Baltimore; the Bedford County Shrine Club - Jaffa Temple; the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Chief Logan Forest #131, Hollidaysburg; the Montgomery Commandrey #13 Knights of Templar, the King Solomon Council #13 Royal and Select Masters, and the James F. Allen Royal Arch Chapter #33, all of Rockville. A home Wayne enjoyed carpentry, working in his woodshop, gardening and caring for his home, and was a kind and dedicated husband, father, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 8th, 2013 at 7;00pm in the Chapel at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett with Pastor Jonathan Morningstar officiating. The Everett Lodge #524, F&AM will conduct services at the funeral home Friday at 6:30 pm. .
