William M. "Billy" Greenfield

William M. "Billy" Greenfield, 75, of Clearville, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 2nd, 2013. He was born Tuesday, October 25th, 1938 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, a son of the late Harlan Wilson Greenfield and Sallie Etta (Myers) Greenfield. On July 1st, 1961 in Beltsville, Maryland he married Mary B. (Dudley) Greenfield who survives along with their children, Cathy Dee Lahr and husband Richard Lahr, of Maugansville, Maryland Douglas Shawn "Doug" Greenfield, and wife Teri (Goetz) Greenfield, of Beltsville, Maryland Tracy William Greenfield and wife Sheri (Wilson) Greenfield, of Woodbine, Maryland Two granddaughters, Susan "Susie" Lahr and Rebecca "Becky" Lahr Two grandsons, Kyle Greenfield and Hunter Greenfield Two sisters, Linda Palmer and husband Ward of Indiana and Shirley Blizzard and husband Sie of Martinsburg Five brothers, Harlan Gene Greenfield of Martinsburg Wayne Greenfield and wife Carol of Inwood, West Virginia Roy Greenfield, and wife Linda of Hedgesville, West Virginia David Greenfield and wife Kathryn, of Martinsburg, and James Greenfield of Hedgesville, and a sister-in-law Priscilla "Barb" Greenfield, of Martinsburg and many loving nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by three brothers, Tim Greenfield, Gary Greenfield, and Carroll Greenfield. In his younger years, Billy worked in construction, and in 1961 he began his work with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Beltsville, Maryland as a USDA Dairy Supervisor until retiring in 1996. He has also owned and operated his farm in Clearville since 1972. At home Billy enjoyed farming, working on woodcrafts, and truly loved spending time with his grandchildren, and will be greatly missed for the knowledge and experience he shared with his family and friends. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 7th, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Fairview Christian Church with his nephew, Pastor Ray Dudley officiating. Friends may call at Dalla Valle Funeral Service, Main Street, Everett, Pennsylvania on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com. Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery.
