William Henry "Fozzie" Long, 67, of Manns Choice, passed away on Friday, April 19th, 2019 at Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin.
He was born Sunday, May 13th, 1951 in Hopewell Township, a son of the late William H. Long, Sr. and Mary K. (Christopher) Long.
On October 4th, 1997 in Bedford County, he married Lynnette J. (McGee) (Friend) Long who survives along with their four children,
Lucinda L. (Friend) Ridenour and husband Blair Ridenour of Imler,
Joel M. Watters of Manns Choice,
Daniel S. Watters and fiancé Tiffany Nelson of Rock Island, Illinois,
Timothy M. Watters of Joliet, Illinois,
Renee Fischer and daughters Lily and Lydia,
Three grandchildren,
Logan Allen Ridenour of Imler,
Joeseph Zaine Ridenour of Imler,
Kenna Journey Ridenour of Imler, and several loving nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in passing away by a brother Richard Long and a sister Linda Barton Keebaugh.
A graduate of Northern Bedford County High School, Class of 1969, Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was an over-the-road truck driver for most of his adult life. A generous man who was well know for the many pig roasts he ran to raise money for charity, Bill was a big man with a big heart and will be remembered for his friendly ways and the goodness he found in everyone.
A private memorial service will be held by his family with burial at Yellow Creek Cemetery, St. Paul's.
