William C. "Bill" Ritchey, 83, of Everett, was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5th, 2013. He was born Saturday, February 8th, 1930 in Hopewell Township, a son of the Late Scott H. Ritchey and Lena A. (McFarland) Ritchey. On September 21st, 1963 in Winchester, Virginia, he married Delaphine E. (Smith) Ritchey who passed away on March 26th, 2009. He is survived by their daughters, Lynette Ritchey Nistra and husband Artur, of Jacksonville, Florida Tina D. Fulmer, and husband Michael, of Elizabethtown Three grandsons, James Steach of Elizabethtown Russell Steach of Elizabethtown Aleck Ritchey Nistra, of Jacksonville Three sisters, Alice Ritchey, of Erie Ina Miller, and husband Earl Miller, of Everett Esther Blackstone, of Everett And four brothers, Clair F. Ritchey, of Everett Rev. H. Lee Ritchey and wife Clara, of Everett James Ritchey and wife Sandy, of North Carolina and John M. Ritchey and wife Mable, of Bedford In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in passing away by three sisters, Helen Riley, Linda Richardson, and Lois Clark, and a brother, Scott H. Ritchey, Jr. Mr. Ritchey was a member of the Bethel Church of the Brethren and served in the United States Army Signal Corp in New York City from 1946 to 1947. He then went to work as a truck driver for Wilson Freight of Johnstown, later driving for Tri-County Petroleum until retiring. Bill and his wife were also partners in the ownership of Granatelli's Restaurant and Bar in Everett, and at home he enjoyed hunting, working in his garage, shooting pool and was quite a character who will be missed for his sense of humor that could light up your day. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 9th, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Bethel Church of the Brethren, Tatesville, with Rev H. Lee Ritchey and Rev. Curtis Bryant officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, on Saturday at the Church from 10:00 am until the hour of service and share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com
