William “Bill” A. Yoder, 70, of Everett, PA, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 25, 2023.
He was born in Huntingdon, PA, on March 28, 1953, a son of the late Geraldine M. (Adams) Yoder and the late Daniel T. Yoder Sr.
On June 18, 1983, at Berean Baptist Church in Duncansville, he married the late Susan K. (Miller) Yoder who passed away on October 31, 2015.
In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by an infant brother Dennis Yoder and an infant sister Rebecca Yoder; a sister Sally Yoder; and brother Daniel T. Yoder Jr., wife Iola B (Rogers) Yoder.
Surviving are his children, Ashley E. Hinkle, husband Brian D. Hinkle of Roaring Spring, PA; Kathleen G. Talbert, husband Matthew of Williamsburg, PA; and seven grandchildren all at home Noah B. D. Hinkle, Logan S. D. Hinkle, Braden C. D. Hinkle, Emily E. Hinkle, Harley M. Talbert, Hunter T. Talbert, Hayden L. Talbert, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families.
Bill was a member of the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church in Everett. A graduate of Altoona Area High School, Class of 1972. He began his career as a Private Investigator in Altoona. He was then employed as a Supervisor for an Armored Truck company in Johnstown, PA until his retirement. At home, Bill enjoyed fishing and was an avid Penn State Football fan. He will especially be remembered for his love of watching Joe Paterno. He was a huge Pittsburgh Pirates fan regardless if they won or lost.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 13th, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Clear Creek Brethren in Christ Church, Everett, PA, with Rev. John Geyer officiating.
