Zally Price Obituary

Zally W. Price, 67, of New Enterprise, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 21st, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born Monday, January 5th, 1948 in Bedford, a son of the late John Calvin Price and Iva Catherine (Weicht) Price. He was first married to Sharon Valentine of Chambersburg, and on April 10th, 1993 at the Chestnut Ridge Independent Fellowship Church by the Rev. Charlie Rhodes, he married Sandra K. (Quarry) Price, who survives along with their sons, Zally Adam Price and wife Audra Marie (White) Price of Chambersburg, Seth Wayne Price, Cody Allen Price and wife Amy Lynn (Buterbaugh) Price of New Enterprise, Six grandchildren, Alexia, Levi, Addyson, Ian, Alec, and Stihl Two sisters and nine brothers, Geraldine Stevey and husband Leroy Stevey of Clearville, John "Bud" Price of Everett, Ray Price and wife Angie (Bussard) Price of Everett, William Price of Everett, Michael Price and wife Carol (Koontz) Price of New Enterprise, Lynn Price of Everett, Mark Price of Everett, Gale Diehl and husband Daniel Diehl of Imlertown, Barry Price of Clearville, Charles Price and wife Teresa (Clark) Price of Ashcom James Price and wife Tammy (Barkman) Price of Everett And many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and their families. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in passing away by a sister Kay (Price) Mearkle and her husband Roland Mearkle. Throughout his lifetime, Zally was a self employed logger who owned and operated his own cutting, skid out and loading service, most recently contracting with Blue Triangle Hardwoods in Everett until he stopped working in June of 2013 due to ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease.) An all around good guy, Zally was always willing to lend a helping hand, be it riding with the Bedford County Sheriff's Posse, donating his time and skills to help with children's groups or to the needs of the disabled. An avid hunter who enjoyed hunting in all seasons, Zally also enjoyed riding ATV, "buggy rides" as he called them, building and working around his home for his family, and camping with friends near Sinnemahoning State Park. He was loved by all who knew him and will be remembered for his caring and considerate ways. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 26th, 2015 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church, Providence Street, Everett with Rev. Robert R. Robertson officiating. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the hour of service, share memories online at www.dallavalle-everett.com, and are invited to stay after the service for a reception and lunch in fellowship hall.
